vSchool
vSchool is an interactive behavioral assessment where students have to go through various social interactions during an afterschool program such as basketball, homework, and a bus ride home to demonstrate they know how to do what’s right.
vSchool, is distinct from other evidence-based and game-based assessments because it focuses specifically on prosocial behavior with depth and breadth. There is a great need for measures of prosocial behavior.
Prosocial behavior is an especially important social-emotional competency (although it is
not the only social-emotional competency of importance). Prosocial behavior is defined as any
voluntary behavior intended to benefit others and that promotes harmonious relationships. It includes behaviors such as sharing, cooperating, helping, encouraging, complimenting, respecting, and defending others. Prosocial behavior is the antonym of antisocial behavior. It is about quality of behavior, not quantity.
