X-rays, CTs, and ultrasound scans — a full, predictable caseload to close the gaps in residency training.

Built to work alongside residency training as it already runs—ScanBright is built in collaboration with MU’s Department of Radiology.

Full Caseload, Every Time

Traditional residency training depends on whatever cases happen to come through that month. ScanBright doesn’t. Residents read and interpret real X-ray, CT, and ultrasound cases, check their call against the actual read, and build pattern recognition across a caseload that doesn’t leave anything out. Developed in collaboration with MU’s Department of Radiology, the goal isn’t more practice. It’s exposure — so when an unfamiliar case finally walks in, it isn’t actually unfamiliar.

By the time it’s real, they’ve already seen it.

Tested Like Medicine. Built Like a Game.

Most science games make a promise about what kids will learn. MHS is the only one in the country that’s actually proven it — held to the same evidence standard used to evaluate medical treatments, and cleared it without a single reservation. No other science learning game has done that. Not one.

We didn’t get there by accident. Teachers and students tested MHS with us first — real classrooms, not a lab — and we ran the same kind of standardized comparison researchers use to test anything else. The result? Students learned the water cycle, watersheds, and how to argue with evidence. Mission accomplished.

Status: In Progress

Early feedback from radiology students has been positive — they’ve found ScanBright helpful and wanted more of it. The next phase of development is underway, with validation research set to begin soon.

Meet the Devs

This team spends as much time thinking about how residents actually read a scan as they do about how the game plays. Here’s the crew who’s bringing ScanBright into the future.

Hello! My name is Brian. I’ve just made the switch from full time Civil Engineer to Game Programmer! I’ve been developing games as a hobby for roughly six years and am very excited to be part of the team here at Adroit. Outside of game development I’m a big fan of all things martial arts. I’m currently focusing on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My favorite video games are Final Fantasy VIII and Overwatch.
